Working for a county in PA. Had to scan ballots using an ES&S DS200. People kept asking 'do we have to sign?' before putting the ballot in the scanner, where it is stored. So once someone inserts their ballot, there is no way to tie a person's recorded vote to the person. Couple asked for receipts. None are printed, though that would be really easy to do, as the scanner is already equipped with printing capability. It prints results at the end of the day.

One really surprising thing is that at the end of the day when we are closing up, we have to transfer the ballots so a bag. One worker was surprised us workers had access to all ballots and handled them this way. This is one opportunity where ballots could be easily swapped, and NO ONE WOULD KNOW.

Unless politicians never expect they and there family to ever be without private security and the only places they can travel are from coast to coast then the are fine. Maybe they don't have a soul but I couldn't do it, I would fight like hell for this country and whatever happens happen but I wouldn't be silent. Maybe I'm from a generation that fights and believed in honesty and strength but these leaders in DC do not have it. Bring back the WW2 generation and they would fix this in a heartbeat.
