Just an introduction post on my part.
I'm a long time redditor (since 2011) and former Democrat. I finally subbed to T_D because of the quarantine. I've been afraid to post on T_D because of the whole mob mentality reddit seems to have about people that might not agree with what the party feels is acceptable to post.
I don't agree with Trump on everything (Israel, for instance). I'm pro-choice and even pro gun-control. I believe, however, that the gun community should be tasked to handle who should be able to obtain a firearm. I've even thought about nationalizing the NRA and making them another three letter agency. I, for one, cannot understand why the firearms community doesn't want to be proactive given the realities of the situation.
So, we're gonna have disagreements. That's why I'm here. We can have disagreements. I'm not gonna get doxxed or masstagged or lynched. One thing I can't stomach is a mob. That's what I see my old party has become. I still feel the same way about the old republican party (Bush, et al) but Trump isn't any of that is he? I feel I can support him because he apparently has pissed off the people I've been trying to get free of to the point that they'll mob up to stop him (and by extension, myself.)
Trump represents progress to me. He's a direct threat to the malicious shadowy entities that have been feeding off my country for far too long. You have my Axe pedes, for what it's worth. I'll emphatically (if quietly) be voting for Trump in 2020.
It's okay to disagree.
Indeed, but one thing I've found to be really interesting since engaging with republicans is that for all we disagree with, we seem to have even more in common.
