EDIT: For those who just want to do this themselves - download uBlock Origin. Hit the block element picker, and click on what ever you want to be gone.. Simple
I'll second this... but as the mods/devs are passionate T_D users themselves, I am sure this is something they are at least considering strongly at this stage.

And I mirror others' sentiment that there is no feeling of urgency - very grateful for what we have right now.)
