I am working on ways to talk with people who do not trust current fact-checking media outlets such as Politico, Factcheck.org, and Snopes. I would love to hear from people who do and do not trust these organizations. Why you do/do not trust these organizations? How often do you read or see articles from these outlets? And finally what are some of the Fact-checking media outlets that you do trust and follow and why?

All of those sites are pretty much political mouthpieces with a single slant.
And snopes... they have zero qualifications to debunk anything.
They started as a joke site to debunk stuff like bigfoot and the loch ness monster. it was for entertainment only. we all knew it was a joke.
Somehow the world forgot that. It blows my mind they are now considered a legitimate 'fact check' source.

Yes, Snopes does have a history in debunking things like the loch ness monster and other urban myths, and since then they have started to debunk Viral news that they feel need debunking. If you don't mind me asking, do you follow any fact-checking media outlets? And in what way do you think these news outlets do not have qualifications?
