We've released an update a short time ago to address a few key issues and concerns.
- fixed replying to private messages
- fixed a performance issue that was making the site almost as slow as Reddit.
- started the process of removing Google resources (namely, jQuery)
- fixed search results
- added "previous" pagination button
- ... and countless other, small changes.
The main point of this thread, however, is suggestions and bug reports.
We've been internally collecting a list and are working through them based on what is most important.
This is our public Trello board where you can see the bugs and features that are being worked on.
Use this thread to note any other bug reports and suggestions that you have.
You can also continue reporting bugs in Discord and elsewhere on the site.
Can we please not call Edit, Spez? Let's just ditch all things reddit, and Spez can't edit our comments here so he is irrelevant.
I agree with what you're saying, but "Spez" for edit on T_D was actually a dig at the DB, because he edited user comments.
I feel like it's a great final screw your to cuck Spez
We migrate away from his hate filled platform and his only remaining ounce of relevance is the never ending reminder of his pathetic ethical breach
Constantly having his name on our minds and under our fingertips....no thanx.
Gives him way too much power. Living rent free in our heads.
Time to move on from all things deadit and spez.
New people don't get the old musty joke and would think we don't have a way to edit posts.
I think u/madlad2020 said it best
> Part of building a culture is embracing the past. I understand what you are saying and agree with it to a certain extent but I think its worth keeping around. Thats my $0.02 cents.
Its pretty funny tho.
It was funny.
Years ago, for about a week.
Yes!
The sole plus from the quarantine was the restoration of the Edit button.
Especially for new users who weren't in on the outdated, arcane inside joke about the owner of reddit being nicknamed Spez, and he was caught EDITING users' posts....so of COURSE the "Spez" button meant "Edit." As you sit there like a drooling moron, searching for the Edit button.
WTF? WAAAAYYYY too much mental processing when all one wanted was to change there to they're.
I will always call Edit "spez".
spez: ALWAYS.
