We've released an update a short time ago to address a few key issues and concerns.

  • fixed replying to private messages
  • fixed a performance issue that was making the site almost as slow as Reddit.
  • started the process of removing Google resources (namely, jQuery)
  • fixed search results
  • added "previous" pagination button
  • ... and countless other, small changes.

The main point of this thread, however, is suggestions and bug reports.

We've been internally collecting a list and are working through them based on what is most important.

This is our public Trello board where you can see the bugs and features that are being worked on.

Use this thread to note any other bug reports and suggestions that you have.

You can also continue reporting bugs in Discord and elsewhere on the site.

Wondering if instead of removing downvoting

You just make a algorithm to detect people who are mass downvoting and ban the shit out of them

The key difference between a pede and a cuck on Win is a pede will also be upvoting like crazy

Whereas a cuck will only downvote

Agree. Anyone downvoting more than 2 post per hour should get flagged and locked out for a week and deported if previously flagged. I've not downvoted twice in a year on T_D.

Yep for me thats what makes this solution so hilarious

On .win there's only pro-trump stuff. So the only way they could blend in and avoid being kicked out by the algo is by upvoting pro-trump content hahah

Yea.. some downvotes are fine.. but maybe they should make users have to earn their downvotes.

Yeah people are suggesting taking a similar approach to what Stackoverflow does

Basically:

  • It costs you to downvote (e.g. 10 points are deducted for each downvote you give)

  • You can't downvote until you have 100 karma

Further than that, stackoverflow also has restrictions on what you can do based on your points e.g. maybe you can only make a submission after X points

I don't think that'd be good here but it could be an option to throttle things if crazy lefties try to flood the place

spez: I also think your downvotes should be visible in your profile. That would really make it dead easy to spot

^ This.

100% agree. Shills are obvious by simple algorithm if you keep downvoting in place.

Make downvoting subtract 10 points. If you have less than 10 points you can't downvote.

This is is how StackOverflow keeps shills in check.

I'd be happy to see the stackoverflow model too

Would really make it hard to game the system
