They risk so much. The Republicans will call whoever they want to testify including the Bidens, the whistleblower(s), any and all witnesses that they couldn't properly question and Barney Fife himself. I would be very surprised if they did.

I think they will, but I think we'll get the last word in the senate, and it will absolutely backfire on the dems. He wont be removed, his ability to run in 2020 will be intact, and we'll get to call all the witnesses we want.

They have A LOT to lose and nothing to gain by allowing it to go to the Senate. They will come up with some excuse to cancel it all last minute.

The whole purpose of these hearings were to push a fake narrative and soundbites for fake news to run with.

That's a very good point, but it's assuming they're not stupid. They're pretty stupid.

I tend to agree with you. At first I didn’t think they’d impeach and the inquiry was just an attempted smear campaign. I think they’re committed now though and it will go to the Senate. This all ends with a yuge win in 2020 though.

That's just it, they know he wont be removed so they're risking Republicans finding the actual facts.

I think they are dumb or scared enough to do it. And it will be a massacre, with all kinds of evidence of wrongdoing by the Dems coming in. And Mittens will vote to remove, along with all of the Democrats.

They can just censure.

This country needs a catharsis from leftism. And I think impeachment is a suicide pact for the Dems.

Also, they were counting on public support and never-Trumpers voting with them. Neither of which they're getting.

I will see and raise, they won't even take the vote.

I think they are so far into their Orange Man Bad addiction that they will go full freebase.

I agree, but for a different reason. The "inquiry" is a much more useful tool than impeachment itself. It allows Schitt to have too much power, it projects the illusion that the Dims are doing something (to appease their extremist elements), it gives the media endless material to go on and on about, and, like with all "investigations" it's useful as a cover-up operation.

Also, as far as I can tell, there's no definitive end point to this inquiry, so it could drag on all the way through 2025.

Indictments are coming down in Ukraine, the whole shit show might well unravel from that end, anybody think they'll have any major problem getting an extraditon order if Joe and Son are still walking?

I'm starting to believe they'll just declare victory without holding the actual impeachment vote. It is becoming more and more clear that if they do hold the vote, they're going to lose. Swing state dems are terrified at this point.
