"Safeguard" is a 2020 documentary film about the Electoral College, Middle of the aisle, non-partisan presentation.

The film starts slow with foundational material you might want to stick with, then gets into the subject matter at around 45 minutes. It raises issues forgotten from your civics class if they were ever even taught. Others 'facts' like the reason and effect of "3/5rds" are rebutted. There are good discussion points on how complicated it would be to replace the electoral college with a centrally run popular vote.
