I don't want to be negative but I think was a desperation move by Giuliani. He knows the DSP aren't going to be able to process this by the election so he just dumps a metric shit ton of info into their lap so he can say he "gave evidence to the police".

The police won't comment on an ongoing investigation, Giuliani will say he doesn't want to interfere with their investigation and we all get blue balled day after day.

This is about forcing the issue, state crimes are not pardonable by any president, and this very publicly forces law enforcement action, the KEY is he is purposefully avoiding the FBI.

It doesn't force the cops to do anything, they can just ignore it like they've ignored crimes committed by famous and powerful people since ever.

This is the FBI's job. The local police are following protocol. Do you really think they had a choice? Do you know how many got suicide in NY after seeing Weiner's laptop? Giuliani got additional corroboration out of the move, which was probably his intentional all along.

Considering that giulani has said he has evidence of many federal crimes that he plans to release regularly to the election AND he only has 50% of the laptop analyzed, it very much does sound like you do want to be negative.

How about the AG of Joe’s state of Delaware could easily slap a gag order on Giuliani or something like that to prevent him from talking about it which is why it came out before scheduled. We are dealing with desperate people here - one of whom is running for president.

That's not how any of that works.

It's like so many people take their rights for granted, despite the fact that they are truly inalienable.
