Not sure what specific thing set you off, but when Epstein died, the news broke at 4am. For 12 hours straight, every 4th post was someone running in, ignoring the stickies, not reading anything in New, and loudly declaring that Epstein was found dead.
We, in the war room, were deep into all the breaking details, deseminating hoaxes from real breaking news, all aspects of every new detail was being checked for accuracy...and all through that, every 5 mins, some asshole would run past all the discussions and scream something everyone already knew.
Is it really that cumbersome to check the top 10 posts before you post?
Or do you, like some, just repost stuff that's popular for fake internet points?
Nothing specific, but if you jump on the site, all you have to do is scroll maybe 1/2 a page and see that a breaking headline has been posted. nevermind the stickes. Maybe people should bookmark the new link and not the hot or rising and that would help. but to me it appears alot of members land on the site and their "create a post" trigger finger goes full auto.
Imagine your king fell on the battlefield. Some advisors and knights form a meeting about what to do about it. They post a sign at the door which says "king fell on the battlefield discission" you're waiting for more information so you can adjust plans. Then every other squire who runs in announces that the king has fallen.
It's for the clicks. And just because you are first doesn't necessarily mean you will be the big winner of meaningless internet points. I have posted things and a repost of it gets stickied 10 minutes later. Yeah it's annoying to always scroll past those posts, but you can't fault the poster for shooting his shot.

ya. My advice for those who want it is to check top 10 in hot, then last 15 in new.
Good idea
true, but there is only so much new news, so the memes break it up. it's the lame memes that slow down reading. lol
Just put yourself in our position.

You might get annoyed as hell.
