I don't abide by california gun laws. I obey the federal ones. Because they actually lock your ass away if they catch you. California doesn't lock people up for possessing the firearms it banned. They usually just give you probation especially if you're not a repeat offender. I've known people in CA caught carrying without permits and nothing happened. DA dropped charges or whatever. I've weighed the risk in my mind a thousand times and always come back to the conclusion you'd have to be an idiot not to be armed.
