You know, rewatching that movie as an adult it's true. Vernon WAS the good guy.

John Bender was a total fucktard and every single thing Vernon said about him and did was correct and justified.

All Vernon wanted to do was have a good environment for his students to learn in, and this bully, drug addict jackass was running around setting off false fire alarms, treating other kids like shit and disrupting school at every opportunity.

The fact that in the end he ends up fucking the prom queen who he did nothing but abuse for hours on end is the biggest bullshit ending in cinematic history.
