I remember watching the evening news during wars in Iraq and Afghanistan when our young men didn’t die in sufficient numbers that they had to be scrolled. We could actually see their pictures and a short bio.

Donald Trump is the first President in my lifetime who has not sent our young men off to die in a war. Our soldiers are coming home flying coach and having a couple beers instead of as cargo in body bags.

That’s it. That’s the post.

When potential enemies fear you, if not respect you, then you can avoid that sort of conflict. Other world leaders may say negative things about Trump, but not one of them want to cross that sort of path with him. Unlike a certain predecessor of his who went on a world wide bend the knee tour.

We should never go to war if it's not total war. Everything past WW2 has been more of a police action with strict rules, those rules get exploited and the only people that win are the ones selling arms/ammunition.

Until we're willing to erase cities with civilians off the map on the daily basis, we don't go to war, but when we do there are no rules until we win.

EVERYTHING POST WWII 'happened' because we did not follow PATTON and take down Communism THEN AND THERE!!!

The USSR - CCP/CHINA - Korea - Vietnam - Cuba - the RISE OF MILITANT ISLAM supplied by USSR (IRAN IRAG etc) THE ENTIRE COLD WAR... NUCLEAR ICBMS... 'missile subs'

All could have been avoided if a handful of people were 'retired early and all at the same time'

Instead - half of Europe falls behind the IRON CURTAIN - and a MAFIA RISES TO RUN half the planet.

General Patton was assassinated. Change my mind.
