Burisma executives bribed the previous Ukrainian administration for lucrative natural gas rights. The Ukrainian administration that followed (during Obama) wanted to get back those natural gas rights from Burisma and was looking into Burisma bribery. Burisma bribed Hunter who arranged meetings with Joe and helped get the prosecutor who was looking into Burisma bribery fired.
