Good morning, I just have a question for you pedes in the financial sector. I am looking to become a CFP. With Trump's soon to be second term and jobs and money coming back from overseas I think it'll be a good time to reach my dream of being a CFP.
I have a BA and have an interview with northwestern mutual tomorrow. I understand that I'll be mostly selling insurance on 100% commission and that has me a bit gun shy. I would be going from a hourly rate to commission. Did any of you have that journey? How did it work and do you have any tips?
Thank you all I appreciate it.
Whatever you privately think, in this interview, express no doubts at all.
You can always not do it later, if it doesn't work for you.
Maybe you can fit other things into your life at the same time.
The interviewer knows all your concerns, has heard them a million times. He is looking for someone who is not bothered by that. They want massive confidence.
You might as well get a yes as not, from him.
He will bug you to see if you have concerns, how will you budget. He knows it's a new thing for you. Be ready with answers.
Look very good. Don't carry anything. Love everybody.
Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to the interview. I still have a job so I'm not going to be too bummed if I don't get it. I just know it would be a good experience and stretch me. I will still be getting my CFP even if I have to pay for it out of pocket. I will just need to get the job experience later.
Thank you
I am in health and life insurance sales. For me the first two years were a grind. Prospecting and cold calling sucks but they are a necessity. Get into a few networking groups as well. PM me for more info or books to read or listen. These types of careers can be frustrating but once established they are very rewarding.
Thank you. Sent a pm.
