This includes the media, holloywood, tech, politicians, anyone who supports ANY ideology, individual, group or corporation that goes against the constitution.

[Redpill] One wise ol' piece of wisdom, and also winning lesson to learn from Trump; "Never bite off more than you can chew."

Another is like Trump in the first debate with Biden. Strategy: "fracture their base apart, not pushing them together".

Be smart and wise when taking on some of the most powerful, infinitely funded, and corrupt, criminal, & dangerous people not just in the US but the world.

Reagan skipped the Iowa caucus and New hampshire primaries, since they're small potatoes, and planned to go full tilt on super Tuesday, pretty much the same as what Biden did this time around in the dem primaries. Bush took advantage and surprisingly locked himself in as the frontrunner. To protect his position as frontrunner, he - like Biden now - decided to lay low and ride the momentum, avoiding any appearances. Reagan offered to debate Bush one on one, no other primary candidates to be involved, and Reagan would pick up the cost of the room, camera crew, security, etc. Bush agreed. He showed up, and Reagan trotted out the other 8 or whatever primary candidates, Bush was pissed but didn't want to look like a chicken shit, Reagan went off about how the American people deserved to hear from all the candidates, the moderator turned off Reagan's mic while he was arguing about why they should proceed with all primary candidates participating. He yelled out 'I PAID for this microphone!; and came off as a champion for the people's right to hear from all the candidates, and a strong leader who would not take any shit. Trump needs to do this tomorrow night - show up with Kanye and another podium for him, insist they allow Kanye to participate, tell Biden and the cucked moderator the American people deserve to hear from ALL the candidates, and that POTUS Trump will not participate in a sham debate where black voices are silenced. Then after Biden is shamed into allowing it, Kanye and Trump tag team him mercilessly and call out all Biden's racist bullshit. Everyone stands and cheers loudly, Trump wins a 2d term in a landslide, and the free world is saved!

The story behind Reagan's "I am paying for this microphone!" moment:

"I thought it had been unfair” Many people remember Reagan’s famous words. But most haven’t heard the full story of what happened that chilly New Hampshire night. After Iowa, Bush and Reagan had a clear lead on the other Republican candidates, senators Bob Dole and Howard Baker, congressmen John Anderson and Phil Crane, and former Texas governor John Connally. A local newspaper, The Nashua Telegraph, invited the two frontrunners to a debate. The five others were excluded. This unfairly helped the Ronald Reagan and George Bush campaigns, Bob Dole complained. The Federal Election Commission agreed.

Reagan did too. He offered to split the cost of the debate 50-50 with the Bush campaign, but they declined. Reagan’s campaign then paid for the debate itself.

“I thought it had been unfair to exclude the other candidates,” Reagan later wrote in his autobiography, An American Life. “I decided to invite them.”

But when four other GOP candidates showed up at the debate (Connally was campaigning elsewhere), Bush campaign manager James Baker (who later became Chief of Staff to Ronald Reagan) refused to let his man participate.

For an uncomfortable few minutes, Reagan and Bush sat silently on stage with Telegraph editor John Breen. The other candidates stood awkwardly behind them. Soon, the audience grew restless.

Wanting to explain, Reagan began to speak. At that, the moderator called to a sound engineer, “Turn off Mr. Reagan’s microphone!”

Surprised and offended, Ronald Reagan’s seldom-seen temper flashed. “I am paying for this microphone, Mr. Breen!” he snapped.

As Reagan recalled, “For some reason, my words hit the audience, whose emotions were already worked up, like a sledgehammer. The crowd roared and just went wild.

“I may have won the debate, the primary — and the nomination — right there.”

Indeed, Ronald Reagan dominated the primary, winning 49.6 percent of the votes. “Big Mo” had shifted his way. A few months later, Reagan easily won the GOP nomination.

A lesson in leadership

It was a dramatic moment in history, but more interesting is what it says about Reagan himself. After all, what provoked Reagan’s rare flash of frustration was the thought of the other candidates being unfairly excluded, and the moderator’s attempt to keep the audience from hearing Reagan’s concerns.

PyroSphere 198 points ago +202 / -4

Reagan was the first president I ever voted for, still proud of it. He didn't take crap, that's how he broke the Soviet Union. Trump learned a lot from him, I can see it in many of the things he says and does. It's nice that we have a real leader in the White House again.

He got up, bc he was going to head a live mic. (Experience from his decades in radio, tv, and Hollywood. "ohh this mic is dead, let me go over to the other one on stage :) Also to prevent feedback/noise pickups, you turn the existing mic off at the base, when away from it, so it doesn't interupt you at the other mic (even if it's on/off at the other end of the mic cable.)

His biggest screw up was choosing GHWB as his VP. He influenced him far too much on that amnesty crap.

28
Wyrmshadow 28 points ago +29 / -1

It was the Democrat congress that promised immigration reform if he passed amnesty first. They lied.

21
hectorspector 21 points ago +21 / -0

This. It's still Reagan's fault for falling for it though. That and no-fault divorce in California were his two biggest screw ups. You have to put it into context though, we had bigger fish to fry during the Cold War.

8
Wyrmshadow 8 points ago +8 / -0

I only know about it because Mark Levin would talk about it constantly. I was still a 4 year old kid in commie poland when this happened.

3
540k-Again 3 points ago +4 / -1

Btw Mark Levin is not a repill dispenser, he dispenses bluepills too; and as a purple pill dispenser he's both useful, and counter-productive.

6
540k-Again 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yep R. Reagan said in hindsight that his signing No-Fault Divorce as Governor of CA was his biggest mistake.

3
prattle 3 points ago +4 / -1

Back then there was a lot more honor in politics as well. I know now that people reading this are thinking OF COURSE THE DEMOCRATS LIED!!!, but it wasn't always the case that you could not trust a gentlemen's agreement from them.

-1
TheTrooper424 -1 points ago +2 / -3

And he is an idiot for going through with it. Defend the Hughes Amendment while we are at it. What about the CIA funneling drugs into ghettos? Reagan was a RINO. He set the Republican party back decades.

4
540k-Again 4 points ago +4 / -0

[Redpill] He didn't "choose" GHWB, the Establishment Swamp/Deepstate in the party did. See the 1976 Primary for more background, or even going back much further than that. It was the only way Reagan could secure the top of the ticket, sorta how DJT has to "choose" Establishment Swamp/Deepstate critters for DHS and other positions to secure "confirmations". The civil war within the Republican Party then was as it was pre-Trump; Trump knew and studied the past game, and was able to use much of the Reagan playbook and add to it. Similar to MAGA, is from Reagan's campaign slogan of "Let's Make America Great Again." and DJT improved it, and trademarked it to Make America Great Again.

2
GitmObama 2 points ago +3 / -1

Yep both are huge screw ups, but letting Bush be VP was worse. Not just then but the damage the Bushes would later go on to do the America and the world. Of course Reagan couldn't possibly know what the future was.

I was just posing a question.

What I would love to see is people not reacting the same way the Left would.

4
P0keu 4 points ago +5 / -1

I never dogged on you for asking a question pede'. There's no problem with asking anything. 👌

I just answered in a way that might help answer that question. We both don't know the actual answer to that question, right? But If these dopey fucks are pulling the same shit with Donald Trump in present day - I really don't think it's crazy to think that they would be doing the same type of shit tactics back then.

Personally though? I don't believe it's staged. Sadly though I don't quite think anyone can answer the question. Fun to discuss either way though!

3
kekkk 3 points ago +4 / -1

This is how you respond to a question you don't like.

Any sane person appreciates conversation over suppression and there is no reason to act like the Left.

I also don't think it is staged, Reagan is genuinely pissed. Either that or he's the greatest actor of all time.

5
Mukato 5 points ago +5 / -0

Because of a virus from China that the crowd has a 99.998% of surviving if they should even contract it at all.

So why wouldn’t there be a “distanced” crowd? Having no crowd at all is horse shit.

4
540k-Again 4 points ago +4 / -0

Removing the Crowd has been part of the ongoing tactics for years now, even pre-Covid. Where they say, the audience should only make noise at the begining and end to applaud, and that's all the Marxist Media Masters will of allow.

Reason, it makes spinning the debate and taking things out of contest/editing far harder when there's a crowd cheering/clapping or booing.

Missed me!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_jNTdGDezw

When a balloon or something burst during one of his speeches.

This was after he had been shot and almost killed in an assassination attempt.

And please do also listen to his recitation of "The Danegeld".

https://youtu.be/w3VJc89eYcQ

Dane-Geld A.D. 980-1016 It is always a temptation to an armed and agile nation To call upon a neighbour and to say: -- "We invaded you last night--we are quite prepared to fight, Unless you pay us cash to go away."

And that is called asking for Dane-geld, And the people who ask it explain That you've only to pay 'em the Dane-geld And then you'll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation, To puff and look important and to say: -- "Though we know we should defeat you, we have not the time to meet you. We will therefore pay you cash to go away."

And that is called paying the Dane-geld; But we've proved it again and again, That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation, For fear they should succumb and go astray; So when you are requested to pay up or be molested, You will find it better policy to say: --

"We never pay any-one Dane-geld, No matter how trifling the cost; For the end of that game is oppression and shame, And the nation that pays it is lost!"

7
Salt_n_Pepe 7 points ago +8 / -1

Umm, 'scuse me, but I am Germanic and I find the term "Dane-Geld" offensive, mkay.

3
edxzxz 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'll repeat my point that your facts are off somewhat. As much as I hate to say this, CNN did a great series called 'the race for the whitehouse' that uses actual news clips etc. from past elections, from the primaries through the debates and elections. The debate was set up by Reagan, he proposed a 1 on 1 with Bush, which was what Bush wanted, since he was winning by miles early in the primaries and didn't want to dilute his frontrunner status by being lumped in with a crowd. Reagan brought the whole field and insisted they all be included. That's when the arguing and microphone disabling started. Reagan wasn't bushwhacked, he did the bushwhacking.

As Governor of CA, was clearning the commies out of their "peaceful protest version of CHAZ/CHOP in Seattle" occupation of UC Berkeley.

That sounds like a huge dick move. Reminds me of how early presidents used to call in the army and force workers back to work when they tried to get a better deal for themselves. Calling a strike illegal is just some bullshit totalitarianism. People have a right to not work a job. Someone who is forced to work against their will is called a slave.

QueensOwn 8 points ago +8 / -0

No. Maybe you don’t know the facts. They had violated the law USC 7311. They had a contract which expressly forbid them to strike as Federal Employees. They also violated a federal court injunction. It was a national safety issue. The Union was offered a pay increase of 11.4% which was twice the federal worker pay increase. They wanted a 4 day work week and an 8 hour only work day. Yeah, I don’t think taxpayers liked that idea either.

Reagan also gave them 48 hours to return to work. If they didn’t they were fired. Slaves? LOL. No one was forced to work. They were simply fired. We did just fine without them.

No, didn't know that info that they were federal jobs. Just got me thinking of some of the scummy shit that early government had done against the people.

DemsFuckKids 17 points ago +17 / -0

no more crowds allowed at debates b/c uprising of the people like this. just like in 2016 when trump said "b/c you'd be in jail".

17
Sealith 17 points ago +17 / -0

He then won 44 states and 489 electoral votes

3
oldskoolwargamer 3 points ago +3 / -0

And followed it up with 49 states and 525 EV in 1984.

1
America1stAndOnly 1 point ago +2 / -1

And then he followed that up with an amnesty act for illegals that would solidify the democrats stranglehold on power in the southwest and begin the degradation of our society for decades to come!

13
axrevolutionai 13 points ago +14 / -1

The great things Ronald Reagan did are all null and void by massive amnesty

I'll admit the quality of illegals Reagan gave amnesty was much higher. Actual workers, lots of students...

but it was still unprecedented and set a very poor tone..how pissed off must you have been to be in line for legal citizenship, and then see the illegals getting it for free and way quicker?

9
Rusty_Bungus 9 points ago +9 / -0

Still fucking happens to this day. The legal process is a complete trainwreck and takes forever. Hop the border and bing bang boop hello.

3
edxzxz 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nonsense. Amnesty was a brutal error, no doubt, but bringing the Soviets to their knees and removing the world from the constant threat of instantaneous nuclear annihilation it had lived in terror of for decades, removing the iron yoke of communist oppression from the necks of hundreds of millions of people, that is not undone or voided by anything else.

America1stAndOnly 0 points ago +1 / -1

removing the iron yoke of communist oppression from the necks of hundreds of millions of people, that is not undone or voided by anything else.

Ummmm, what? Have you not been paying attention? The communist threat is as big as it's ever been, and just because the media doesn't report about the threat of assured mutual destruction anymore, doesn't mean that it no longer exists.

1
edxzxz 1 point ago +1 / -0

The menace of communism still exists, I agree, but for Eastern Europe and Russia / former Soviet Republics, it's gone, and it's not coming back. I do believe that POTUS Trump could lay the foundation for the defeat of Chinese Communism in his second term.

3
540k-Again 3 points ago +3 / -0

the quality of illegals Reagan gave amnesty was much higher.

Yes, the 1986 Amnesty group, is nothing like the $oros funded carvaneers.

Some complete facts about the 1986 Amnesty. It wasn't an automatic front of the line citizenship thing, people still had to apply and go through the process to become a citizen. It gave them "amnesty" for their crime of being here illegally in the past. Not everyone who was here illegally applied for it either.

[Redpill] The 1986 Amnesty had nothing to do with CA shifting to Dems, the split was nearly 50/50. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, and anyone who cares can go see all the voter records and elections results.

CA going blue started after the Dems started cheating like crazy for the Prop 187 fight. Even though they lost and Prop 187 passed (it was summarily tossed by bad dem judge.), the Dems put in place their full scale ballot cheating, which is what is still going on, and how the Dems stole every congressional seat in 2018 that touches the Pacific Ocean in CA (and all but 1 on the West Coast). They stole races all the way down ballot since Prop 187 fight.

With Real Election Integrity, CA would still be very solid Republican for most offices and State legislature. btw CA has the largest number of Republicans in it, than any State.

[Redpill] The 1986 Amnesty law was and is part of the tools which we've used to Build That Wall, so while the Dems didn't hold to the agreement, we still moved the ball 40 yards down the field, just as with other pieces to get all the authorizations and things required to allow it to be built. This present time, it's been an over 40 year fight to secure our Southern Border with Mexico (of course history goes back even further, Pancho Villa, Pershing, etc.)

I agree with you completely. He had a chance to go out on top as one of the top-tier presidents in this country's history and then fucked us all in the end.

Make no mistake, if Trump does something like this during his 8th year as president, I'll be calling his bullshit out all the same.

Never forget, the Republican Party hated Reagan too. What, after all, does an actor know about foreign policy.

Why am I not 50 points ahead? It rings that tone.

Fuck around with Ronnie and find out.

JustTheNews 6 points ago +6 / -0

My favorite part is how he stood up to go beat the shit out of the guy, then snapped out of it a second later, it is very rare you see a president act human and like an average man.....

Now the debates are disgraceful silent borefests. 90% of the topics are just beating a dead horse and ridiculously stupid. Also, the 2 minute response and 1 minute rebuttal is fantastically dumb. Start the damn thing earlier

4
1Eyed1Horned 4 points ago +4 / -0

So the left has learned from this in the past and also got rid of the studio audience.

3
edxzxz 3 points ago +3 / -0

So now the right needs to learn some things, first on that list is that the presidential debate commission is a dem party controlled organization which the R's should cease acknowledging as having any place in the process at all.

2
1Eyed1Horned 2 points ago +2 / -0

Or value it and run their own debates and shame the dems for not showing up. Set the rules for the dnc debate that they show up to the R's debates.

2nd greatest president ever

2
1776WILLCOMMENCE 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think it might play to Trump's favor. Mention Antifa - mic cuts out. Mention Biden's corruption - mic cuts out. Etc. Whenever they put his mic pack on, just pick up right where he left off - like how Pence did during his debate. He can still take control of the debate despite having his mic cut, and if cut during his allotted time it's going to look really bad for them.

2
CosmoKramer 2 points ago +2 / -0

yes, if they mute GEOTUS he should just walk up to sleepy and take his mike

Ronnie was the greatest. Won the Cold War, revitalized the economy, curbstomped liberals for a generation. We'll not see his like again. 49 states in '84, an epic electoral bloodbath.

2
Droford 2 points ago +2 / -0

So the answer tomorrow night is for Trump to bring his own microphone

Anyone got a longer clip? Would love to take a history lesson

GEOTUS should bring a bullhorn. Just in case. 🤣

1
barwhack 1 point ago +1 / -0

The way to do that now, is to yourself -GEOTUS- livestream the debate; if they turn off THEIR mic, you just continue right on, and ignore them...
