No. Maybe you don’t know the facts. They had violated the law USC 7311. They had a contract which expressly forbid them to strike as Federal Employees. They also violated a federal court injunction. It was a national safety issue. The Union was offered a pay increase of 11.4% which was twice the federal worker pay increase. They wanted a 4 day work week and an 8 hour only work day. Yeah, I don’t think taxpayers liked that idea either.
Reagan also gave them 48 hours to return to work. If they didn’t they were fired. Slaves? LOL. No one was forced to work. They were simply fired. We did just fine without them.
