here's an interesting theory that i read...on his last day in office, obama signed a metric shit load of pardons, including himself. the problem is, the pardons cover the past but are only effective up to the date the pardon is signed...any crimes committed thereafter are prosecutable. the theory goes that the reason it's taken so long for us to get to indictments, etc, is bc this has all been a giant sting, and prez maga waited for everyone to commit new crimes. which they promptly did, bc they thought they were covered, if not by pardons, then by the deep state.
do pardons have to be publicly filed? obama was so great about sealing his records, could he have sealed pardons? i have no idea...but at this point, nothing would surprise me. you?
