My dad claims two people he knows or knew of died "from" it.

He's in Washington state where the coof fraud has been turned up to "full retard" and my dad's age group are more likely than not to have some kind of comorbidity.

I don't doubt two people he knows/knew of died. I remain skeptical on the "from it" versus "with it" aspect, assuming they actually tested (real) positive as opposed to false positive or if they were even tested at all, as there has been a lot of presumptive diagnoses there.

My parents are being Nervous Nancy about it, but my mom is legitimately in a high-risk demographic on account of immuno-compromised.
