Nah, it's dementia or advanced senility. If you see the way he used to talk, even just 10 years ago, it's night and day difference. He used to ad lib lies with the best slimy politicians.
Before now it was just that he was extremely gaff prone. As in, he would say things that he shouldn't have. Now, he can barely get a coherent sentence out to even make a proper gaff. I mean, he's still managed a few pretty bad gaffs this year, but for the most part he just looks confused and lost all of the time.
I'm not saying he's not stupid, there's plenty of evidence he is going all the way back to the start of his career. But he's definitely not firing on all cylinders now.
Yes THIS! I recently watched a clip of him during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearing. I mean, he made no sense and I won't argue that he's always been an idiot, but clearly in 1991 or whenever he spoke clearly and attempted to string together word salad to seem smart. I read something awhile back that he had a stroke in the late 1990s or something, I bet the degradation of his brain started way back then. And as someone who has an extended family member who had a stroke and then later has dementia, I can assure you that it's a big difference in brain functionality pre-stroke vs post-stroke and the dementia makes it way way worse. It's undeniable and you really have to be the type of person who would vote for a coma vegetable to not acknowledge it is real.
