As far as I can see, there are 2 litmus tests of enthusiasm, and enthusiasm is what wins votes. The amount of Trump supporters at his rallies, the rallies people have in his name: 1000 vessel boat rallies, 50 mile long car rallies, etc.
And the other one, pollsters ask "who do you think your neighbor will vote for?", the answer has predominantly been Trump.
