I was just thinking more about some recent experiences in cities in northern california. I realized when I went to areas with more foreigners way more people were wearing masks compared to areas with more American people. I had one theory about Chinese being told to wear them by their govt but I realized I saw Latino people wearing them too in a different area and migrant illegals wearing them in front of home depot something they definitely aren't doing in other states where I've seen the same type of people hanging around loitering.

I think some are doing it because they're illegal and they think they need to conform with the law to avoid any suspicion. I've worked shit jobs as a teenager with illegals and talked to them before and also talked to some who were kicked out of the US, while traveling in latin america, and they are always paranoid about getting caught by immigration.

Someone needs to send major ICE patrols out to California. The place is like a third world country now in many urban areas with homeless also taking advantage of the mask laws to cover their faces and have become more brazen setting up tents in places they never dared to before. Seriously this is some crazy shit going on here.

Honestly I think some illegal immigrants are decent people but they need to be held accountable for taking advantage of our system illegally. I've met some who were working as uber drivers in latin america who had been kicked out of the United States but seemed to have moved on and told me they "can never go back to the United States". They are just making bad decisions and need to be returned to their home country in hopes they can reform their criminal behavior and instead try to work in their own country to improve. There is opportunity in latin america, I've seen it first hand, its just harder than it is in the United States by a lot to get ahead.

Yeah, this exactly. I'm in a Texas city but I just got through going through a lot of mostly Trump country of the Midwest. I was kinda hoping for a reprieve from mask world for a bit and I was disappointed. Most everyone was using them almost exactly like you described. Although not one person even acted like they were bothered by me not wearing one. Still, it's a lot different from when I went through similar areas back in August and mask use was a lot less common. Also certainly not areas filled with foreigners. I'm not sure what changed.
