Maxwell spent nearly 30 years as Jeffrey Epstein’s lover, friend and accused accomplice in a wide-ranging sex-trafficking scheme that spanned years and allegedly ensnared scores of underage girls.
She became the primary target of federal investigators after Epstein’s suicide at the age of 66 inside Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center, where he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges. Prosecutors also reportedly noted Tuesday while arguing against the turnover of some materials to defense attorneys that they have not charged Maxwell with being Epstein's primary supplier of underage women, and stated that they worried she would attempt to intimidate witnesses into silence should information about potential Epstein victims be released.
“The premature revelation of this information would give the defendant the opportunity to interfere with the Government’s investigation before it is complete. Such information could allow her to contact and intimidate witnesses, destroy evidence relevant to the investigation, or alert other targets of the investigation,” the prosecutors reportedly wrote.

Page 13 - Establishes that she does in fact do a lot of hiring of people of all sorts.

As I sit here, I hired 11 assistants, I hired architects, I hired 12 decorators, I hired cooks, I hired cleaners, 13 I hired gardeners, I hired pool people, I 14 hired pilots, I hired all sorts of people. 15 In the course and a very small part 16 of my job was from from time to time to find 17 adult professional massage therapists for 18 Jeffrey.
Page 59 - Now she doesn't hire people, she just screens them.

I just testified, I don't recall 15 exactly when I met her. 16 Q. Was one of your job 17 responsibilities to interview people that 18 would be then hired by Jeffrey? 19 A. That was one of my 20 responsibilities.
Page 63 - Again, claiming she's not responsible for hiring people.

There is a complete 180 on the matter of hiring people. On page 13, she went on at length about how she hires cooks, assistants, pilots, gardeners, ALL SORTS of people. And then it's the total opposite later on, "I don't hire people", "Again, Jeffrey hired people".
