Are people really that affected by this? I mean real thinking people? By polls made by the media who constantly lies, and wants to create the illusion that the candidate of their choice is winning?
If anything it's the left shooting themselves in the foot with the fake polls, just like they thought back in 2016 that Hilldawg had it in the bag and a bunch of people decided they couldn't be bothered to go vote.
Everyone on this site knows what's at stake. Every other comment is either a cry to go vote in person, and to bring as many people as possible to vote, or a pledge to crawl over broken glass to vote for GEOTUS.
That's a dumb argument. Must be leftists trying to influence folks to not vote.
I don't think it's gonna work here. This place is high energy!
Even though the dems definitely will cheat, and inflate their votes by abusing mail fraud, and that's why I think the polls are meant to provide cover, there are only so many votes they can add. This is why it's absolutely imperative for everyone to go and vote. Just so the republican party will win by such a large margin that fraud couldn't overcome.
I don't think polls change who people vote for. I do think it may effect whether some people will vote at all. If they are convinced of a landslide of their candidate they may not vote. But mass mail in ballots probably has more effect on voter turnout than anything else.
So would you agree that the dems showing that biden has 99.999999999% chance to win would only hurt their voting turnout, as it would get the dem voters complacent?
It might. Some lazy democrats might not vote, or miss the deadline. But their hatred for Trump is also great.
Personally I think most people who voted for Trump in 2016 will vote for him again. A lot of former never-Trumpers will vote for Trump this time. And many never-voters will vote for Trump. An incumbent president has the advantage and Biden is a terrible candidate.
But more than a third of the people didn't vote in the previous election. If they are uneducated votes they might buy the propaganda. If they have common sense they will vote for Trump.
