Thomas can retire locking in his seat as conservative, hopefully Sotomayor dies picking up a new seat, and if he really does go scorched earth we might be able to remove Roberts as replace him as well, which is basically picking up another conservative seat.

Republicans have to keep the Senate though!
And conservative don't always vote that way if the law/Constitution don't support it. Unlike progressives who want to make it up as they go.
