From 2016. Run time 1h46m
The first part of the movie starts a little slow, about Dinesh D'Souza's arrest and 'jailing' The 'jail' seems may be played up for dramatic purposes; another source says he did 8 months in a halfway house, not jail, but he could have been held in jail a while before bail.
(Trump subsequently Pardoned D'Souza in 2018)
The middle and main part of the movie is a fairly hard condemnation of the Democratic party, as a party that screwed over the Indians, supported slavery, and when slavery was gone, continued to screw over Black America for as long as he could. In other words, until today. The last part focuses more on Hillary Clinton.
Other critics call out some factual omissions in the movie, but movies always omit for flow and length. I'd call this a film docudrama where you need to check facts before you repeat them. It will make you think and it will make you question some 'facts' that up until now, you probably thought were true.
It's not a neutral balanced movie be aware of that. It's a good movie if you need some red meat for the crowd. There is a book covering the same topic, released around the same time as the movie.
If I was raising money for Republicans in a medium-large city, a screening of this movie followed by a speaker would probably be very effective.
