If I counted correctly, you could win California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and New Jersey. And you could lose the other 39 states, but it would still be enough to win the election.

Seems a bit troubling.

It is a bit troubling, but that is where the separation of powers comes into play. The Senate could still be heavily stacked against such a Pres.

I'm not troubled by it because it's unlikely that an election like that would ever occur.
