You were advocating the use of them to attack the above site. That’s different. To do so is unequivocally illegal. I’m not saying the .watch isn’t so gray as to be basically illegal (certainly unethical and nasty), but they have some wiggle room they’re manipulating. What you are advocating is, while coming from a good intention to stop the above chicanery, would clearly be illegal.
Except there is nothing illegal about owning, using, or advocating the adoption of DDOS tools. In the same way there is nothing illegal about owning, using, and advocating the use of guns.
Now how you use a DDOS tool or gun can make the operation of said tool illegal. I am aware there are some pretty large grey areas in that statement. But DDOS tools (like guns) should be legal to use in the case of self defense.
