If you want to encourage a behavior, give a tax credit. If you want to discourage behavior, tax it.

If you give more money for any treatment that gets classified as covid related, then loosen the standards to allow anyone with a runny nose or a coof to be classified as “covid related,” it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to deduce that there will be over reporting of covid related hospitalizations and deaths.
People get hospitalized and people die all the time for all kinds of reasons. If you pay them more to say they are covid related, the hospitals will say they are covid related.
I don’t even think it’s unethical at this point - you forced them to cancel all their elective procedures so they are laying off staff and going broke, why shouldn’t they be trying to get as much covid cash as possible?
FedEx and UPS took $600 million in covid cash while their business has been skyrocketing - that is unethical.

Hospitals make nearly all their profits from elective and cosmetic surgeries - both of which were banned during the china flu lockdowns - so, how do they make up for all that lost revenue? idk, how about cashing in on that $89,000 per china flu patient + bonus cash for ventilator use?
I unfortunately have to agree. I personally know of three people who got chalked up as a Covid death who coincidentally died of cancer, a heart attack and a stroke but may have had COVID-19 when they died ,But that was not their cause of death. They died WITH Covid not OF Covid!

I remember seeing the videos of people passing out in the streets in China and Italy. A few days later there were videos of children passing out in the streets of Iran. Then I thought, that's weird. I don't think I've ever seen a video of anything from inside Iran in decades.
Gotta get that $13,000 Medicare bonus for every China Virus patient that walks through the door and additional $37,000 jackpot wad for every China Virus patient they let get sick enough to need the ICU!
Don't forget that Medicare pays nursing homes a 20% bonus for each of their China Virus patients!

They still get their normal Medicare payments for these patients. The $13K, $39K and 20% bonus are paid on top of that.
