I live in the deepest blue area in Brooklyn, in the very blue city of New York, in the very blue state of New York.
I've been taking long long walks, from the extremely wealthy neighborhoods to the middle-class neighborhoods. This time 4 years ago it was ALL HILLARY, ALL THE TIME. Stores had Hillary displays, and were doing a brisk business in Hillary dolls, books, bobbleheads, T-shirts (especially baby and toddler shirts), hats, "Nasty Woman" merchandise, etc.
Every single block had from a dozen to several dozen Hillary signs in the brownstone windows. Bumper stickers? Forget it! Every other car had them, practically.
I mean it was jubilant. The mood was joyous Hillary Fever!
Nothing now. I walk through block after block of $3, $4-million-dollar brownstones -- the beating heart of Hillary country -- and see virtually no signs. I can go blocks without seeing a single political sign or bumper sticker. (There used to be BLM signs on every block, but most have come down now. That's probably an indicator in itself.)
What signs I do see are 75% anti-Trump. There are virtually no plain "Biden/Harris" signs. Mostly "ByeDon" kinda stuff.
(Now, I should note I don't see Trump signs either. But putting up a Trump indicator would be a good way to get your house vandalized or car keyed, or worse. No need. We will speak with our ballots on Election Day.)
I've lived here for decades. It's never been this muted before an election. There's no feeling of jubilation, no eager expectation. There is no joy in Brooklyn, mighty DNC has struck out.
"There is no joy in Brooklyn, mighty DNC has struck out." deserves an award.
OP, start a blog!
This sounds somewhat like Salt Lake City. I don't remember a lot of political signs at all in 2016.
But right now, there is a sprinkling of BLM and Harris/Biden signs, and one F**K TRUMP sign.
The ONE house I know of that had Trump signs I think had their signs vandalized.
This is the same neighborhood in which I've been tearing down Communist Party posters from public utility poles on my morning dog walks.
A friend of mine who lives there said he’s seen a few Biden signs in the very left Sugarhouse neighborhood, but virtually nothing compared to 2016.
The leftists I know seem to have a grim death-march quality now. It's not like the hopeful Obama / Hillary years.
That is Hillaryous!
MiniMike and De Bolshevik are about tied for the most pathetic, impotent, limp attempts at running for Prez I've ever seen.
The "Rent is Too Damn High" guy was a more serious candidate.

Gee, our City Hall ran great...
THOSE WERE THE DAYYYYYS! 🎶
I always thought of the Simpsons episode where Quimby spoke, apparently from city hall, but then a steel drum player walked by and revealed Quimby was playing hooky in the tropics.
