There were no street lights, no government landscaping, no snow removal, and 2 out of every 3 houses were demolished already. With a 45 minute average response time, the cops, they didn't exist. The spirit of the neighborhood was to solve problems by breaking the law; like how to get free electricity and gas, ect. So the crime rate would be higher in a city run by criminals for criminals. Owning guns is difficult in Michigan, but there is no excuse for not having one. No background checks are required between private sellers and our militia ranks near top in the country. But we are back to claiming rights. Detroit nore our governor are accurate reflections of the people in Michigan. We've all got guns. Several each. So many we don't have men to carry them all.
