People don't generally become Democrats. Democrat is the default position, it's where you land when you don't think about things much, believe what you're told, and follow the herd.
I've known hundreds of people who were Democrats and became Republicans. Maybe a dozen who went the other direction. Of those, in every case it followed some trauma or terrible, life altering decision. Usually either an abortion or they started using drugs.
The last sentence is a universal truth. There are no Trump voters from 2016 that will vote for Joe Biden.
