How DO they cover it? They'd have to answer why they've been covering it up all this time.

In for a penny, in for a pound. They'd lose all credibility if they heel turned and went with it. It will be a slow burn for them to figure out how to cover it, and cover their asses. Like claim they didn't know. I don't think anyone is gonna buy that, even on the left.
