Interest free loans are illegal in the US. Since they are classified as gifts.

iirc, it has to be above $100k to be illegal; or is that just a tax thing?

Ric Grennell didn't mention a figure. Just "interest free loans are illegal in the US since they are gifts" or similar.

And most likely related to loans between companies/businesses, not family or friends.
