Hahaha. The way she says "why would you do that" totally sounds like she isn't talking about what he was saying but rather why he would unnecessarily sink himself. Hahaha.

I had the EXACT same thought!! After all her efforts to try and help him without being hyper aggressive like the first moderator and Biden just throws it all away on THIS. lmao

as lopsided as she was, she saw blood in the water and let Joe walk right into the Buzzsaw. When Trump said it was a majorly significant statement. you could almost sense Welker wanting to high five Trump for making Biden walk on that landmine.

"You weren't supposed to say that!"

It's even worse because Coal is pretty outdated. I know the industry still exists and I'm not trying to belittle its importance, but Oil / Fracking jobs are way higher in numbers. And a candidate basically putting it out there that he intends to shut the country down as well do away with Oil / Fracking jobs... well that just ain't gonna sit right with a lot of hard working folks.

Also, I love how the moderators says "why would you do that?" in a tone that almost sounded like she was dumbfounded that Biden would say that on live TV. But that's probably just me inserting my bias.

We need coal to make steel, there is no other way. We make top quality steel, and we need American steel independence!

AMEN Granny!

What has happened to the steel industry is a national disgrace.

That’s what happens when you gauge things based on “blue check” trends.

So what...... we'll just transition to solar powered jets. Duh!

DaesDaemar 4 points ago +4 / -0

You could have battery operated aircraft with replacable battery bays if you really wanted to, assuming the weight of them didn't crush any benefit of flying the plane. Definitely not a 2020 solution, but it could be possible. If you get solar more efficient you might be able to charge while you fly since you're above the cloud line most of the time. Again though, not likely anytime soon. I like solar/electric but gas is only going to get cheaper as we make more and more things electric. Check out the 1,000 horsepower Hummer recently announced.

Miasmo 7 points ago +7 / -0

Hey, I'm all for solar, when it's feasible. You can't put the cart before the horse though.

I like it for off the grids and flat already present surfaces..like your roof.

Huge expencive solar farms are just useless compared to what a modern reactor could do.

Joe's campaing is already running around like crazy doing damage control ("he said it about ending subsidies blah blah"), LOL

I wonder if the strategy is to make the big statement in the debate so the far left will cheer him. And then have the campaign walk back or moderate the statement, for the benefit of the moderates.

Hopefully, this will kill Joe's chances of winning fairly to the point where Trump can focus on combating Demonic Rats' cheating...

How will heavy industry and heavy machinery run on electric only? Cross country cargo trains all electric powered? Airplanes with out oil...HOW?? How will factories create solar panels without oil to fuel the process? Chainsaws, lawn mowers, and other small engine tools will be shitty and nearly useless. Good luck.

whomurderedepstein 2 points ago +2 / -0

The power grid won't be able to charge every thing. Just all electric cars would do it in. Look at California as it is already has rolling black outs. Not to mention adding heavy machinery. I think the real goal of socialist authoritarianism is make everyone suffer equally. If they ever get the presidency again they will do more to destroy us in four years then they have over the past 40.
