Zeus is sometimes seen as the ancient greek mythical analog of Baal-zephon, of whom is more famously known as the demon king Moloch.
For me, the era of here and now is analogous to the transient period of time spanning the reign of Typhon, when he momentarily dethroned the demon king Moloch and ruled over all the land and sea.
This is how I see the next term of POTUS unfolding, a decisive victory to near oblivion for the cabal.
But the final rematch after he leaves office will be the days when the war goes to ground, and too many people have too much ground to retreat to.
I fear that for a time the demon will win back his throne.
Your username was what prompted me to ask about Gene Wolfe -- there was a character named Typhon in one of his books, who was also once a ruler of nearly limitless power, and who ended up not ruling any more (sorry, don't want to provide any spoilers in case you ever check Wolfe out).
He also wrote Soldier in the Mist about a mercenary soldier injured at Plataea who has supposedly lost the ability to remember events from the day before, but had supposedly gained the ability to see and converse with the gods.
