When I married my wife, she actually legally changed her first name to include her middle name (think of Carol-Anne or a name like that) and made her maiden name her middle name, so she could take my last name, and in her words "bring honor to her given family name"...that side of her family is kind of full of irresponsible people, to put it one way, and as an Ivy League grad, she is on an entirely different level.

Hyphenated names mean one of two things:
If it is a woman then she is a super Karen feminist that will likely make up some lie about you propositioning her and get you fired, or
If it is a man he is a spineless pussy.
