Or the child of some spineless pussy or Karen. Hm, what do you do if you start out with a hyphenated last name at birth, and then get married to someone else with a hyphenated last name? Or heck, even just a normal last name...how do you choose? Just more woke shit that these people don't think through to their conclusion.
When I married my wife, she actually legally changed her first name to include her middle name (think of Carol-Anne or a name like that) and made her maiden name her middle name, so she could take my last name, and in her words "bring honor to her given family name"...that side of her family is kind of full of irresponsible people, to put it one way, and as an Ivy League grad, she is on an entirely different level.
Shouldn't hire anyone with an apostrophe in their name. Hyphenated is where I'd draw the line, but I'd be very cautious!
Hyphenated names mean one of two things:
If it is a woman then she is a super Karen feminist that will likely make up some lie about you propositioning her and get you fired, or
If it is a man he is a spineless pussy.
Or they’re Mexican. It’s very common for them to keep the mother and father names regardless of gender.
They don't hyphenate, just use both names
Mines hyphenated :(

Impossible. Feminists abort their babies in favor of their career.
Exception for Dinesh D’Souza
Even Amy Coney Barret didn't hyphenate
Her name sounds like some incoherent ramblings of someone intoxicated when asked what to name the baby.
