The 'International Business TImes' had this to say - "Coyote" is a term for human smugglers along the U.S.-Mexico border, though the term is rarely used.

Instead of just telling their readers they are idiots for not knowing the most commonly used term for human smugglers they want to pretend Trump is the idiot.

I learned it reading The Crossing by Gary Paulsen when I was in like, 4th grade.

I think pretty much everyone in AZ, NM, and TX, Democrat or Republican, knows what a coyote is. This is just more coastal elitist ignorance

I've never really heard the term to be honest, but have enough common sense to know what it means without even looking it up.

I never lived in any border states and I know what it is.

Gary Paulsen

I haven't heard this name since middle school. I still have no idea how good/bad of a writer he is overall, I have only ever read that "Hatchet" book they made us read in school. I did kinda enjoy it, though. Are any of his others any good or just a 1 hit wonder?

The Hatchet was his most popular. I remember reading a few others by him. I was never too excited about books back then, but I always liked his books for some reason.

Looking back, they were all coming of age books for boys. They had some good lessons in them too. The Crossing touched on the dangers of border crossing, gangs, and alcoholism without being too vulgar.

Yea, they should've specified "rarely used by people who live on the eastern seaboard."

Even I know that term and I am not from the western states.

It's a common term...but if you don't know about human trafficking, then you might not know it.

Rarely used because people don't give enough of a shit about human trafficking. "Wah wah my moral superiority. I know about roaches and dreamers and white privilege, but talking about Human trafficking is silly... Trump is sooooo dumb"

Rarely used? Since when?

I've lived in southern CA all my life, illegal alien central, and I never heard the term until 2016. I still didn't assume people were talking about literal fucking coyotes the first time I heard it.

A family member hadn't heard it before either. It didn't take much to put 2 and 2 together and figure it out.

Apparently they don't teach it to you when you get a phd for gender studies.

They say rarely used, and this person doesn't know what it means because all of these virtue signaling leftists have never even looked in to the border issues. They have no idea at all. They literally have never even looked in to a single issue surrounding the border crossing, and illegal immigration.

That's why the kids in cages and concentration camp nonsense played so well with them.

It's also why they're always so shocked by Latino approval, and just approval in general for the wall.

It's also why they were so outraged at the idea of calling them rapists. Because they've never seen the stats on how many women crossing the border get raped. Conservative estimates are at 50%, some go as high as 80%.

They just really have no idea at all what goes on at the border.

"Rarely used"? They've obviously never lived anywhere near the border, it's commonly talked about in the news. You literally can't read any news about human trafficking in the southwest and not see that term.

In other words, this lady is a retard.

I fully expect to see other media reports about how this poor lady is suffering abuse on Twitter for her retardedness and that's so sad that people can actually call her a moron for not once doubting that she was right even though that interpretation is utterly retarded.
