I think Kristen Welker was trying to nudge Joe into an opportunity to fix what he had said because it was so catastrophic, but he just didn't get it. Joe's firewall is PA, and he lost it irretrievably with that comment.
Which is fair, I think the moderator giving a candidate an opportunity to clarify a very contention statement is good, I just can't believe Biden doubled down.
If only we had a clean energy source capable of using it's own waste to produce even more power without releasing any pollutants into the atmosphere at all. Something that basically turns a small rock into enough pure energy to power a thousand homes for a year. If only we could then refine such technology to the point of meltdown-proof reactors that pose no risk to anyone in a first world country that doesn't cut corners on their construction.
But that's just science fiction, right? Nuclear power will never actually exist. Better to kill off half the population and destroy our economies just to reduce pollution a bit.
Imagine spending 100 trillion on solar panels and then they come out with a new design the following year thats more efficient. Free market strong economy allows these technologies to be adopted as they become developed
Moderator got red pilled during her own debate.
Wouldn't that be amazing? Ha!
Not going to happen, but fun to think about.

Windmills bad (and manufacturing them is a huge cause of pollution), solar not there yet!
Let’s put AOC on the first solar/battery transatlantic flight

Hey there Mr. Far-Right extremist - Nuclear power is bad because it meets every environmentalist's demand without instituting socialism.

This was a live seppuku
i missed thw the last 30 or so minutes of the debate. did he actually say this!?
Yes and that's exactly what she said trying to correct him. She wasn't asking why he would do that? She meant answer in that way, it was so obvious.
I missed it too! Nobody's posted a clip yet that I've seen
