The bottleneck has already been reported as network capacity which is getting upgraded. Evidently 500Mb/s can sustain normal traffic, but not during peak time events.
Even my colo hosting a 1/2 rack at 500 dollars month has 1Gb/s up and down to the Internet. So upgrading the pipe shouldn't be that much unless the connection between the on-prem and cloud service is provisioned on a private connection.
