The USA is not a democracy. We are a republic. The left continually propagandizes that the democracy is of utmost importance. They've been doing it for years. In order for everyone to enjoy representation in our country we have an electoral college to protect us against democrat principles where the majority rules. Never forget the pledge of allegiance....."and to the republic for which it stands...." Democrats like the word democracy because it sounds like democrat. They know they can deceive the uneducated to believing that they have to support the democrat party to maintain democracy. What a bunch of hooey. We are a republic. MAGA & KAG TRUMP/PENCE 2020
It's something that is rarely called out and rarely well-explained when it is.
We don't want to protect "our democracy," because we do not have (or want) a democracy. If we did, we'd be in a bad place right now because these people would have more power and a more easily manipulated vote.
Shiiiiiit, further back than that bud. I’m sure my parents would say we have a democracy. They know how the electoral vote works and all, but probably wouldn’t know we’re considered a republic.
The US is a constitutional republic with a democratic election process. The US is NOT a democracy (which means pure democracy), rather it IS democrat-ic — that “-ic” means it takes elements from democracy (again, in our election process).
You can correctly talk about “our democracy” (as in referring to our election process NOT the country) AND acknowledge that this democracy exists WITHIN a constitutional republic (the country).
You can also correctly say it’s a democratic republic, but even then the word democratic is only modifying what the country really is... a republic.
It’s kind of like “democratic socialism”... it’s still socialism.
I disagree wholeheartedly. That is the kind of BS they teach in schools today and it's liberal hogwash that has crept in through the ages. The United States of America is a republic. No more, no less. That BS of adding other things to it is nothing more than propaganda to soothe liberal minds when they have to live within the confines of the constitution our republic was founded upon.

You just can't take anyone seriously who insist the USA is a democracy. Demcoracy is just another way of saying "mob rule."
The Democrat party is aptly named.
And yet their own party is an oligarchy that ignores popular vote. Hmmm.
A pede posted this a while back.
The American Form of Government: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VogzExP3qhI
The narrator makes the claim that democracies always progress into oligarchies.
Historically accurate
