The USA is not a democracy. We are a republic. The left continually propagandizes that the democracy is of utmost importance. They've been doing it for years. In order for everyone to enjoy representation in our country we have an electoral college to protect us against democrat principles where the majority rules. Never forget the pledge of allegiance....."and to the republic for which it stands...." Democrats like the word democracy because it sounds like democrat. It's something that is rarely called out and rarely well-explained when it is.
We don't want to protect "our democracy," because we do not have (or want) a democracy. If we did, we'd be in a bad place right now because these people would have more power and a more easily manipulated vote.
Shiiiiiit, further back than that bud. I’m sure my parents would say we have a democracy. They know how the electoral vote works and all, but probably wouldn’t know we’re considered a republic.
