Solar is great in theory, however, it's not efficient enough yet and we also have the problem of them only lasting 20 or so years. With innovation over time I do think we'll see them become more common and maybe even get to a point where homes and business that don't have huge energy requirements can all generate their own energy without having to rely on monopolistic power companies.

Even if you cut out energy, the modern world is hugely dependent on oil for plastics and fertilizers and other chemicals. So much it's not even funny.
We need more nuclear, which is far more reliable and has far less of a footprint than solar/wind, but operating plants are shutting down every year while only one new plant is currently being built in the US.
Still need oil/gas for other purposes, but nuclear would provide the cleanest and safest baseload.

It is pretty sad when her performance last night is viewed as fair and respectful when it actually wasn't. Sure, if you compare it to Wallace and Guthrie it was better in that she wasn't as antagonistic and better at being sly with her interruptions but they were still there. The left needs to watch Michael Moore’s documentary, the guy they idolize. Even he admitted the by products of solar and wind farms trash the environment far more than oil.
Solar is great in theory, however, it's not efficient enough yet and we also have the problem of them only lasting 20 or so years. With innovation over time I do think we'll see them become more common and maybe even get to a point where homes and business that don't have huge energy requirements can all generate their own energy without having to rely on monopolistic power companies.
