If trump wins 50% of the black vote this election is fucking over. There would be no chance in hell

tdwin_throawayasanon 94 points ago +94 / -0

Even just 20% is enough to make a YUGE impact on winning. If Trump gets close to 50% it's going to destroy the Democrat party outright.

I kind of wish we had a Democratic Party that at least liked the idea of America. Imagine how great we would be if Democrats reformed and put America First for once.

Imagine how great it would be if everyone in DC workered with each other and for the American people. We would have colonies on mars and ended worked hunger by this point.

BigPanda71 13 points ago +13 / -0

World hunger isn’t a problem that’s going to be fixed based on anything we do as a country. We could send enough food to feed everyone in Africa fives times over and people there would still starve. But the government leaders and warlords would eat like kings

FergieJR 4 points ago +5 / -1

It is even more bleak than that. People often bred until they are not sustainable anymore.

The potatoe famine in ireland is a great example of this

Ireland could only sustain a low population, once the tader showed up their population grew several times over a few generations.

But then the potatoes all disappeared and the mass starving was dropping back to sustainable levels

This is the issue with sending food to a 3rd world.

It just allows them to keep their population growing while unable to grow food still. If the aid stops not instead of 1 million people starving it's 10million. Now what?

FYI shitty warlords don't help either.

7
Countercultureconser 7 points ago +7 / -0

FYI. The Irish had more than enough food to eat even with the potato failure. The English were the landowners and forced the Irish to ship the food out of Ireland even when people were starving. Some people consider this an intentional genocide.

https://culinarylore.com/food-history:myths-about-great-irish-potato-famine/

Also, African is often brought up in this same kind of myth. Africa has some of the largest tracts of fertile food growing land.Communism is what keeps African from feeding itself. It is so fertile that China is trying to colonize Africa right now to get access to that food growing land.

Ive heard this from others and no matter how generous i get with the map i can only put Trump at a max of 333 electoral votes...so this would be a surprise, but a welcomed one to be sure

FergieJR 4 points ago +4 / -0

If it's higher than 20% and they vote straight R ticket the DNC will be wiped out. We're talking flipping 2-3 Senate seats and dozens in the house R on top of Trump winning a term.

Historically GOPers only need 8% of the black vote to win. That's how it was with both Bushes & Reagan.

In Reagan's massive landslide he only got 9% of the black vote

He’s not gonna get 50 but anything over 10 and we’re in the clear. 15 for sure must be a victory. 20 would be great though.

18
RunningBuffalo 18 points ago +18 / -0

He's not going to win 50% or anything close. It's culturally ingrained in the black community to vote Democrat. Breaking that thought pattern doesn't happen overnight.

Imagine it's the 90s and you're a Pistons fan, but you really like Michael Jordan because he's cool and really good and really famous and everyone is talking about him. You might buy Jordan shoes, maybe even a Jordan jersey. But when the Bulls come to town, you're still cheering for your Pistons, even if you recognize that they completely suck since Isaiah left. Because that's your team.

The Dems are black voters' team. It doesn't take much to get someone to admit they like an opposing player. But you have to move mountains to get them to switch fandoms.

Dtom13 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's also important to remember it's culturally ingrained in the GOP that the party hasn't consistently tried to court black voters or speak to them until Trump came along. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this year was the first RNC without the majority of speakers being a bunch of crusty white deep-state neocons.

It was always a weak spot of the Democrats because they thought they could just rely on those votes, but Republicans also kind of took it for granted that they wouldn't crack 10%, let alone 20%. So it honestly seems like they never tried until now. I believe it was Kim Klacik who went on Tim Pool's podcast and said that most black people in Baltimore had never even met or spoken to a Republican before.

Trump has done a lot for the black community that past Republican presidents and congresspeople never even bothered to try.

THIS.

The “permission vote” is why Democrats got RINOs to start the “Lincoln Project” and why President Trump has gotten a bunch of high profile black and Latino celebrities to “give permission” to announce their support for the greatest President in the last 50 years for their communities.

I think 50 cent dropping the 20 cent bit hammered home some perspective.

14
ObongoForPrison2020 14 points ago +14 / -0

Democrats are racists who think black people are so stupid they can't even figure out how to obtain government ID or mail a letter by a certain date.

Thank about that.

MisterGuapo 10 points ago +10 / -0

Democrats' own internal polling is probably showing how bad things are for them.

They got fat and lazy under Obama, who got a lot of people to vote because they had an organization that got people to get out and vote.

The Democrats thought that they could coast in with Hillary and then saw President Trump as an aberration, believing that they could defeat him because they thought he would be a bad President.

It didn't work out that way. There were plenty of drives on the Republican side (especially with this group) to encourage Republicans to get out, register and, more importantly, VOTE.

This Canadian hopes you all keep it up for this year and the years to come. We need to get the Western world back on track, which means the USA must take the lead because of their influence.

It's a preference cascade. Ace of Spades HQ talks about this a lot.

People who are secretly Trump supporters who have no close friends or family who they believe vote like them might feel weird or out of touch. When they see a friend cross that line and come out, it can start a cascade where more people come out.
It takes a lot of courage for someone in a blue state or with a Dem family, or a gay or a black person to say they support Trump. And just one person like 50, or a few people like Kanye, 50, Waka Flaka and Ice Cube can have a tremendous impact.

Anthony Weiner may have cost Dems the election in 2016. I thought that was crazy. 50 Cent and Waka Flaka Flame cast the deciding votes in 2020 would be a fitting end to an insane year.

Holy shit, I hope that's real. I'm reserving a degree of skepticism though. Poll numbers rarely, if ever change that much in a short period of time.

Any idea what might have changed between 10/20 and 10/21? Did the "You Aint Black" comments get broadcast far an wide?

5
MAGA_Skull 5 points ago +5 / -0

in the mater of a few days...how does that happen?

FAKE POLLS> THAT'S HOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5
jacko556 5 points ago +5 / -0

Some pretty unreliable (even for a poll) poll said that Trump is going to get 10% in DC. He got 4% in 2016.

Even if the difference is split, and he gets 7% that's nearly double last time. In the bluest city/state in the nation, which has a large black population.

Curious if these little outlier polls are the ones that are pointing to the outcome.

When I was walking home today this drunken older black man started talking at me and asked if I was voting Trump and I told him I wasn’t sure (I am) and that Joe was just to corrupt. He said Trump didn’t get him a job ( as if that’s the presidents job and not his) but if he hit another one of those stimulus checks he would for sure. I told him it’s Nancy ( our representative) that’s holding it up and he was surprised. I doubt he’ll vote but maybe just maybe I helped change his mind.
