I had a client who was going to be interviewed by the FBI, Dept of Labor, and the IRS all at one time - as he was a witness for the prosecution. You cannot imagine how PREPARED he was for that interview. I had to REALLY get him to see that they could FLIP and try to make him the bad guy - possibly even prosecute him.
Needless to say, I was watching every word that was said to make sure that there were no misstatements.
Luckily, the feds DIDN'T turn on us. But the DANGER is always REAL.

There are often attorneys who work at the same firm and vehemently hate each other. So folks under the same roof can very well have different opinions. Jones Day is a massive firm but it’s not a monolith.

He needs to make sure the lawyer isn't compromised to sell him out. No way he should say anything to the corrupt FBI at all.

Problem is, look at flynns lawyers. It's tough to find good lawyers in that town that aren't swamp rats themselves.
