The Harris campaign, together with Joe Biden, announced this morning a plan to reduce the standard work week to two days from the standard five. In a written statement, Joe Biden said that the reduction was an important part of his Build Back Barely plan.

"We need to change the way we think about work, " read Biden from his teleprompter. "Look at this current president -- two, three rallies per day. Working around the clock. Seven days a week. Is that the life you really want? I'm here to prove that you succeed in politics, and life, without really trying."

The plan calls for most workers to take five-day vacations followed by two days of work. A "day of work" may include up to 90 minutes of actual work, such as at last night's debate, though actually showing up to the job is not necessary.
