This is correct. They push left-wing narratives and allow for the language to be degraded by not upholding standards. "Language is evolving" is their reasoning, but it's going to devolve into clicks and clacks.
yo boi dats jus booshit. spelin be creative n' shit. yall dont no nuffin. I be teechin soon enuf. ten skooze got my paper an they ALL wanna hire me cuz I'm GOOD.
From what I hear, your generation is quite a bit more based than my generation is. You guys give me hope that we'll see American patriotism as the norm again someday.
As new teachers come and go at my school the liberal leanings change based on the individual teachers. You're right that English and History teachers are typically the worst offenders. Science, unfortunately, can go down that road as well. So sorry you got short-changed in chemistry! I hate when they water down the academics with crap just because students aren't in the top tier class. As a Biology teacher, I teach all of my classes the same topics, just at a different level. Every student deserves a quality education.
Former biology and technology teacher here. I made it two years before I had enough. I've been the IT Manager of a large wholesale greenhouse for the last 11 years. The pay and benefits are better. Heck, last month we got hit with a ransomware attack that originated in Iran, and that was less stressful than teaching.
Break up teachers unions and start to defund Public Schools. The money should go to private school education. Competition is the only thing that can save all future generations.
I've been saying the same thing for a long time. Evolving language made sense when only 20% of people were literate but now that it's near universal there's no reason that language can't be standardized.
It also leaves it open to 'interpreting' things like the fucking Constitution but in the future. What good does writing down laws do when eventually nobody knows what it means anymore?
If you control what people say you can control how they think too.
it is shocking how low and crude American English has fallen in just 250 years. the way people wrote and talked back then was far more intelligent, used bigger vocabularies and strictly followed rules of ettiquette and politeness that we lost a very long time ago. none of our founding fathers were academics, except maybe Ben Franklin, but the way they wrote exceeded the way PhD's write today.
check out this letter to Jefferson for a prime example of how great common English used to be
"P.S. I am highly pleased with your Declaration. God preserve the united States. We know the Race is not to the swift nor the Battle to the strong. Do you not think an Angel rides in the Whirlwind and directs this Storm?"
isn't that a profoundly beautiful description of America's purpose?
