I mean, i don't work in oil and gas myself, but i have friends who work in oil and gas and they say its cool if i use it. I just pay attention to who else is around when i say it. I wouldn't want another Oil-and-gas-american to overhear me, think i said rigger not rigga (i would never say rigger) and judge me.
It was oil workers and I can't even find anything about their race. Its not like we care, since there is a name for the types who makes EVERYTHING about race...
Titusville, Pennsylvania, 1859. Before the oil, the chief industry was logging.
Possibly slightly more black folk in Titusville then as there is now (I do not know). Currently the town is 96.1% white, 1.9% black. Main political disagreements in Titusville today is, well...

"usually a variation of who's more pro-Trump,"
Oil workers in he 1850s (called "roustabouts") sometimes used naturally ocuring "rod wax" for personal use, but the substance did cause oil equipment to malfunction and was considered a nuisance.
Chesebrough saw an opportunity and began to collect the black, waxy substance. He returned to Brooklyn, New York, and began the tedious process of refining the substance over a five year period. He discovered that by distilling the thinner, lighter oils from the rod wax, he could produce a light-colored gel, and he patented the process in 1865.
Chesebrough spent another ten years perfecting the purification of his product. He began to demonstrate its uses around New York by burning his skin with acid or on an open flame and then using the product on his self-inflicted injuries.
Been a while but I don't remember any motorized car exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry...perhaps xir learned about Vaseline in someone else's car? π€
I remember they had a fake coal mine that you road in pretend mine cars... that was 25 years ago though, no idea if itβs still there. Donβt remember Vaseline though
Yup, that was their first public exhibit I think. Pretty cool, but the only coal mine I've ever been in where you walk out after you've descend into it. ;)
If you ever get the chance go to Cripple Creek, Colorado. Theres an old defunct gold mine that they do walking tours through. You go down on the mining elevator, walk through it, and go back up the elevator. It was a pre turn of the century mine and operated into the 40s I think? Its been a while since I went. Its one of the neatest things I've done. Pro tip bring a jacket. I thought it would be warm underground but I was wrong.
Yup! Cripple Creek is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Colorado Springs. Theres also a great zoo in Colorado Springs called the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Only zoo I've been to that had giraffe feeding on big elevated platforms. It was like something out of jurassic park.
Vaseline was invented in Wakanda where black people invented electricity, automobiles, computers, aeronautics, etc. Then the invisible forcefield was destroyed when the white man sent his coyotes in to drag black people across the border to learn the secrets of their awe-inspiring technology. Armed with stolen knowledge of the magic forcefield, white people massacred them and stole all of their inventions. White people then rewrote history, erasing the black israelites, the black egyptians, the black yamato dynasty, the black romans, the black crusades, the black vikings, the black Tudors. It was truly a worldwide genocide and rewriting of history.
So distraught from the loss of technology, the survivors used their superior intellect to form cannibalistic tribes across their home continent where they proceeded to murder and rape each other and raze fertile land so evil white people couldn't sneak in and spread their heretical agricultural practices. They knew that by selling their fellow men and women into slavery, one day their ancestors would blame whitey and extract their revenge.
So the minority race (of whites) on this planet creates industries and technologies, businesses and corporations and infrastructure, and some waste product that is generated by one of these industries Is somehow the βinventionβ of another race because it was lying around as a result of the industriousness of the prolific productive progressive minority race?
The revisionist history by Black Nationalists/Racists (and their allies) is no different from what Adolf Hitler did with the revisionist Aryan history. In fact it is no different from when racists of all different ethnicities.
I did some research.
First the real inventor Robert Augustus Chesebroug took a couple years to actually develop the process. Before that it was an impure, not as efficient, and potentially dangerous in it's unprocessed form. The idea of "rubbing the residue of oil byproducts" isn't new. Ancient Romans and Greeks did it. When Whale oil was popular those that hunted whales would rub whale fat and byproducts on their body's as well.
So this isn't a new idea even then.
Let's go back to Titusville Pennsylvania, where workers (most of which were white) would use the byproduct.
Today black people make up less than 2 percent of the population. There is no evidence most, or even a majority of the workers were black. In fact evidence suggests otherwise. Both in census and pictures.
There wasn't a mass migration of black oil workers. In fact I haven't event found fringe theories that this was the case. This person just made it up and assumed all oil workers are black. I found no pictures or records of black people.
So someone saw what they were doing and turned it into a profitable product. Weird that pretty much anyone could have done that but didnβt. That guy did.
He spent a lot of time and effort to properly refine it to make sure it was useful and not potentially causing issues. That alone makes this a non-issue but commies gonna commie.
You can't call them riggers!
They are people of oil or oilcan-Americans.
How bout riggas?

Yeah, that's definitely not random black oil workers rubbing byproducts on themselves.
Thank you for this.

I went on that ride/exhibit. It was really fun.

Thank you I'll remember that. It sounds cool. Isn't that near where Tesla had his laboratory?

We were going to drive cross country for fun this year but china plague... but I want to go to these places now if we do the summer rockies route!
It's because, as Bill Burr put it "white people don't know about lotion".
And the guy who invented the Big Mac?
Died in a miserable ground-level apartment.
just tell them the Egyptians were not black and watch them lose their minds.
Egyptians are as ethnically ambiguous as Kamal Harris.
Depending on the context black people are either:
That's just what happens when your skin color is used as a political tool.

Good job π
We all know what Kamala wants vaseline for, don't we?
Those lips aren't going to unchap themselves!

This^^^
So... their greatest invention involved them finding something in the bin.
..and then putting it on their ass

Gasoline was a waste byproduct, too
I invented sawdust.
My give up... My voting for Biden.... cuz white devils did not invent gay sex gel.
Did you put it in jars, add a label and trademark it? No? THEN POUND SAND!

Well they did however invent about 95% of all modern things, except peanut butter.
lets talk about the inventor of the silver car......
Lmao, read it again slower and tell me who 'invented' vaseline.
Of course boipussi here is talking about vaseline.
Pottery.
Look, Vaseline has a history page with a woman of color on the background and even they won't make up a claim for woke SJW points: https://www.vaselinearabia.com/en/article/vaseline-history.html
I'll take made up shit for $1,000 Alex.
Proof is what they need, for this claim
