If you’re self-employed or run a business, you invest more money into your company, or you give it to the government. There is no corporation or small business on the planet that decides the best decision is to give it all to the government. You meticulously manage your finances, even hiring people to do it, in order to pay the government as little as humanly possible. That’s what doing your taxes means to all living individuals in the US that pay taxes. That’s the only thing TurboTax and H&R Block do for you.
